Obituary of June Williams Sudduth

June Williams Sudduth, 93, resident of St Paul, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2017. June was born on June 13, 1924 in Suffern, NY to Alonzo and Grace Williams. She served her country honorably as a Corporal in the US Marines Motor Corps during World War II. She attended Iowa State University and was active lifelong with Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. She married James A Sudduth on May 3, 1952 and lived in Detroit, Toledo, Grand Rapids, St Louis, Milwaukee, Tucson and finally St Paul. She worked as a chemist and later as an Administrative Assistant at Pilgrim Park Junior High School in Brookfield, Wisconsin. In her retirement years, she was a very active volunteer at many organizations, including: Tucson Medical Center, Humane Society, and Welcome Wagon. She was very passionate and involved in her church community. She is preceded in death by her the love of her life and husband of 55 years, Jim,; brother Bruce Williams; and her parents. June is survived by her sister Bev Springer of Abilene, TX; children, Robert (Cindy) Sudduth of Dayton, Ohio, Sue Moynahan of Laguna Nigel, California, and Don (Anne)Sudduth, of Arden Hills; five grandchildren, David, Kate, Sarah, John, D.J.; and four great-grandchildren, Lily, Nolan, Evie, and Ryan - as well as numerous extended family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of choice in her name. Private services will be held at a later date.
