Obituary of James Albert Weber

Age 67, passed away on June 28, 2022.  He was born April 30, 1955 in Hibbing Minnesota. James graduated from Hibbing High School class of 1973 and went on to obtain a Bachelor Degree from the University of Minnesota. James was a member of the 1973 Hibbing High School State Champion hockey team and continued to enjoy senior league hockey. 

James worked for many different companies including Mesaba Service & Supply, Allis Chalmers, Minneapolis Glass, IBM, and, after retiring, Home Depot these last few years. He always enjoyed and excelled working in sales.

Though he lived in the San Francisco Bay area for a time and for a long time in Minneapolis, his true home and love was Hibbing and the Iron Range where he was born and raised and made lifelong friends. 

He was closest to his daughters who felt that he was the best “girl Dad” ever. Not all Dad’s feel as comfortable supporting their daughters, but he made sure that they always had special events to go to when they visited and was always there for advice, support, and a shoulder to lean on. He always had great ideas about things that should be done around their homes and the family farm though it could lovingly be said that he excelled in a supervisory role as opposed to the hands-on work.

He was a pilot, scuba diver, golfer, best dad ever, grandpa and friend.  Following his father Dutch’s example he lived his life his way. Ever positive, he will be cherished always by his daughters, family, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his father Henry “Dutch” Weber and mother Julia (Kidd) Weber. He is survived by daughters, Samantha (John) Stevens, Nichole (Wade) Corgard; son, Andrew (Sarah) Kuderer; five grandchildren, Corinna, Walker, Marshall, Julia, Jaymee; 1 great grandchild, Charlotte; brother Richard (Jeanette) Weber; sisters, Kathleen (Joseph) Braun, Sherry (Weber) Spector, Laura Weber.

Celebration of life to be held August 20, 2022 at 1:00 pm at 2201 5th Ave. Hibbing MN  55746.  RSVP preferred to ncorgard@gmail.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be donated to your favorite charity in James's name. Cards can be sent to the family at the Hibbing address.
