Obituary of Richard West

Age 78, of Maple Grove, passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on July 21, 2022. Dick grew up in Minneapolis with his loving family.  

After graduating at West High School, he enjoyed working in photography and printing until he started a long and fulfilling career in financial planning. He married Peggy Hennings and together they had 3 daughters and 6 grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Peggy; parents, George “Archie” and Florence; sister, Lynda McGonagle.

Survived by daughters, Michelle, Jodi (Shane), Elizabeth (Jon); grandchildren, Alyssa, Haydyn, Gavin, Keegan, Danny, Audrey and extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 28 at 11:00 am at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 5005 Northwest Blvd., Plymouth with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Memorials preferred to North Memorial Cancer Center.
