Obituary of Joshua Charles Pensak

Joshua ‘Josh’ Charles Pensak, 60, of Cloquet, MN, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving daughters and family by his side on July 15th 2022 after battling kidney cancer.

He was born on August 18th 1961 to Thomas and Ethel Pensak. Josh graduated from Denfeld high school (1979) and received a music education degree from University of Minnesota Duluth. He was a member of the U.S. Air Force with being in the band 1985-1988, and continuing his love for music as a local musician for many years.

Josh was a dedicated employee to Voyageur Bus Company for nearly 30 years. When Josh was not working, he enjoyed cooking, music, hunting, fishing, being with family and the outdoors with all the wildlife.

Josh joins in heaven his parents and brothers Thomas, Jr. ‘Dud’ Pensak and Gary Pensak.

Josh is survived by his daughters Kali Elisabeth & Cori Renee; brother Todd Pensak; sister Pat (Don) Nielsen; grandchildren Mason & Zatanna; sister-in-law Mary (Thomas) Pensak; Nephew Jordan (Holly) Pensak; Nieces Penny, Lynn (Brent), Michelle (Jeff), Sheri (Mark), & Laura; and significant other Cathy Pihlaja. Along with many great nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank Voyageur Bus Company (Mike, Ryan, & Joe Krois) and Moments Hospice (Stefanie) during this time. Additionally, thanking his brother Todd, significant other Cathy and daughter Kali during the last month of cancer treatments and care.

The family will have a private memorial service on August 6th, 2022; with a celebration of life for all invited from Noon-5pm on Saturday August 13th, 2022 at 8721 Kantonen Road Cloquet, MN 55720.

Per Josh’s request, donations are to be provided to Disabled American Veterans (DAV), local Humane Society, and Disabled Police Officers/Law Enforcement.
