Obituary of Melissa Ashley Wylie

Melissa Ashley Wylie, 40 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at her home in Crystal MN.

Melissa was born January 15, 1982, in Edina, Minnesota to Brad and Dawn Wylie. She is preceded in death by her grandparents: Reno and Jeannine Damuth and Edward and Merle Wylie. She is survived by her parents, her two sisters, Heather and Amber, nephews, Jonathan and Sebastian, and niece Gracelynn and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She grew up in Minnetonka with her parents and two sisters.

Melissa graduated high school from Hopkins High school, class of 2000. She attended and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in arts, from the University of Minnesota in 2007. She worked as a Project Coordinator for the Bernard Group. She was extremely intelligent and was able to produce some incredible artwork with her creative artistic capabilities.

She made her home with her sister Heather and her nephew Jonathan in Crystal, Minnesota along with her cats Ruby and Yoda. She valued her family and always made them a priority. Weekly Friday night dinners were among the things she prioritized as well as spending as much time with her niece and nephews as possible. They loved her so dearly. She loved to spend hours in the sun and at the beach with her sisters and their children that she loved as if they were her own. She loved spending time with her friends, making them laugh and lending her helping hand whenever she could.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 11:00a.m. at Serenity Village Community Church. The service will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by a fellowship/gathering afterwards to visit with family and friends to share memories of Melissa.
