Obituary of JANICE G. PORTER

Janice G. Porter, 76, of Jacobson, passed away at Diamond Willow Assisted Living in Grand Rapids on Thursday, December 14, 2017. Janice was born in Waubay, South Dakota on February 28, 1941 to Clifford and Jeannette (Thiel) Lauseng. She was united in marriage to Warren Porter on March 13, 1971. She is preceded in death by her husband Warren; grandson Levi and brothers, Todd, Duane, LeRoy and Rubin Dean. Janice is survived by her sons, Darwin (Morgan), Neil (Emily) and Kelvin; grandchildren, Bradley, Maddalynn, LeRoy, Andrew, Jesse, Bailey, Benjamin, Avery and Oliver; siblings, Lloyd (Gloria) Lauseng, Larry (Carol) Lauseng, Glenda (Ronald) Johnson, Sherry (Johnny) Hannuksela, Sonja Giles and Terri (Dean) Hoffsommer; many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Diamond Willow for the excellent care they provided Janice during her stay. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 AM until the 11 AM memorial service on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at Jacobson Community Church, Jacobson, MN. A luncheon will immediately follow the service at the church.
