Obituary of Kim Elaine Granmo
Kim Elaine Granmo, 58, of Duluth, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017 after a 7 month battle with Leukemia.
Kim was born in Grand Rapids, Minnesota on April 18, 1959 to James and Carol (Strochien) Daoust and graduated from Moose Lake High School, class of 1978. Kim worked as a mental health practitioner for the state hospital in Moose Lake, Human Development Center, Arrowhead East, Bridgehouse and lastly the Birch Tree Center. Kim enjoyed flower gardening, riding her motorcycle and the family's annual camping and fishing trip. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity as well as putting others before herself. She will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her father Jim.
Kim is survived by her husband Steven of 34 years, children, Allison Granmo and Sean Granmo; mother Carol; siblings, Kevin (Heidi) Daoust, Roger Daoust, Diane Mcentee, Mike (Lisa) Daoust and Ed (Shelly) Daoust and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to St. Luke's Oncology Department, the St. Luke's nursing staff on 2 west and the University of Minnesota Oncology Department.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 9 am until the 10 am memorial service on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
