Obituary of Robert W. Jones

Robert "Bob" W. Jones, 81, longtime resident of Duluth, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 4, 2017. Bob was born on January 16, 1936 in Duluth, Minnesota to Garrie and Irene (Bruneau) Jones. He served his country honorably in the US Marines during the Korean War. After returning to Duluth, Bob spent the majority of his working career as an elevator technician for Otis Elevator Company. Bob was a huge family man who loved tinkering on old equipment, clearing land and working outside. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister LaBelle Ross. Bob is survived by his daughters, Karen (Wayne) Harvey, Cindy Jones and Sharon (Tim) MacDonald; his loving partner, Mary Anne Wickstrom; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as numerous extended family member and friends. A gathering to celebrate Bob's life will be held from 2-4 PM on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Cremation Society of Minnesota 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN.
