Obituary of Marion I. Dahl

Marion I. (Stone) (Komanti) Dahl, 93, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at Chris Jensen under the care of hospice on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Marion was born in Duluth, Minnesota on June 26, 1924 to Arthur and Alina (Vanhatalo) Stone. She graduated from Lakewood School in 1942. She attended and graduated from DBU and the School of Cosmetology in 1943. Marion was employed by the Walker Jamar Company for 25 years as an Executive Secretary. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family at Island Lake, bowling, archery, snowmobiling and spending the winter months in Tucson, AZ with her husband Orville Dahl Sr. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Alina Stone; husband Orville R. Dahl, Sr., step-son Orville R. Dahl, Jr. "Rick", stepdaughters, Christine Moe, Dana Lee Dahl; son Steve Komanti; brother Eugene Stone; great-granddaughter Maddie Sipes; brothers-in-law, Harold Arnold and Charles Kupczynski. Marion is survived by daughters, Sharon (Mark) Kivi, Linda (Dennis) Anderson and Bonnie Sipes; sisters, Carmen Arnold and Karin Kupczynski; sister-in-law Laverne Stone; step-daughter-in-law Diane Dahl; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
