Obituary of Gary L. Townsend

Age 69 Heaven gained a man of integrity, Christian faith, skill, strength, “know how” but, most of all, love. Gary’s story began on April 12th, 1949. He married his one and only true love on January 6th, 1968. Throughout his many blessed days, Gary never failed to “drop everything” in order to help with anything at any time. Gary passed in peace surrounded by family on September 11, 2018. We will miss his unique sense of humor, wit and puns (some of which tickled him the most). Survived by his wife of 50 years, Jane; Sons, Chris (Cynthia) and Craig (Sarah); Daughter, Jennifer (Eric); Mother, Laverne; Brother, Dean(Annette) ; Sisters, Lynn and Donna (Chris), 21 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many relatives and close friends. Although we will miss you forever, we know you are with your Lord Jesus and that many relatives and friends were there to welcome you into The Kingdom. Rest in Peace, Love. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 22nd at 1pm at Northern Light Church of Christ, 6717 85th Ave N., Brooklyn Park 55445 with a luncheon to follow.
