Obituary of Lori Ellen Lampi

Lori Ellen Lampi, 58, of Duluth and Round Lake, Illinois, died Monday, December 25, 2017 at Essentia - St Mary's Hospital. Lori was born on Thanksgiving Day, 1959 to Edwin and Irene Lampi. She was a 1978 graduate of Duluth Central High School. She worked as a tailor for many years, first in Minneapolis, where she worked for Stephen Dean Tailors and also for Prince. She then moved to Chicago, where she worked for a fashion designer as a seamstress and sometimes model. She spent several years at Burlington Coats as a tailor. Lori was preceded in death by her father, Edwin. Lori is survived by her longtime companion, Bruce Judd; her mother Irene; her brother, Barry (Janet) Lampi; Her sister, Dawn (Scott) Greenwald; her nephew, Kevin Lampi; and two nieces, Christine (Charles) Bolan, and Amanda (Andy) Lasseter, three grand-nephews and many close friends. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue at 3:00 P.M. , with visitation from 2-3 P. M.
