James Coryea II

Obituary of James Armand Coryea II

CORYEA, James (Jim) Armand, II, age 66, of Plymouth, passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2017. Survived by his wife and best friend of 30 years Beverly, sons Jimmy, Josh and Brad Rafshol (stepson), brothers Scott, Tom and Joe. Jim will be dearly missed by his daughter-in-law, Heather, his grandchildren Lauren and Jackson - who he often referred to as "the little ones", as well as many friends and family both near and far. Hailing from Upstate New York, Jim graduated from Sienna College and moved to the hustle-and-bustle of New York City as a practicing CPA. Looking for a change of pace, Jim moved to Minnesota some years later. Jim had a love for family and friends that was unmatched. It was often said that Jim could walk into a restaurant or store and walk out with at least a few new friends. Like many Minnesotans, Jim loved our professional sports teams, always hoping that they could go the distance and bring home a championship for his adopted home state. His family will miss watching Twins and Vikings games with him, munching on popcorn and sipping on the ever-present Diet Coke. His wicked sense of humor, laugh and willingness to lend an ear will be missed by all, but gained by all those in Heaven. Memorial Service 1:00PM Saturday, January 6th at Messiah Church, 17805 County Road 6, Plymouth, 763-473-6968. Visitation at Church one hour before service. Reception at Church to follow.
