Obituary of Charles Alan Martini
Charles A. Martini
Charlie is the only son to Bob and June Martini. Charlie grew up in South Minneapolis and went to Madison Elementary, Phillips Jr High, Minneapolis Central High school, and graduated with 2 majors and 3 minors from the University of MN Minneapolis campus. He started working at North Central Airlines as a cleaner and a stock clerk, when North Central got bought out by Republic airlines he remained as a stock clerk for many years and then became a inventory auditor, when Republic got bought out by Northwest he was a inventory auditor then switched to an inventory analyst and then became a senior analyst which he stayed until Delta bought out Northwest then he retired after 38 years working with the airlines.
Charlie was an amazing husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother, cousin, and friend. His smile could light up the darkest room. He was our gentle giant that loved his family more than anything in the world. He was the first one to offer to help and never complained about if he was tired, or hurting he just got it done. He loved to see and make others smile. He loved and adored his wife of 52 years of
being together and 48 years of married and best friends for 64, he also loved and adored all of his children biological and adopted and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Passed away peacefully on June 27,2022 at the age of 73. He is proceeded in death by his parents Robert “Bob” and June Martini, his Aunt Phyllis Woolf, his Uncle Lee and Aunt Joan DeCamp, Uncle Harry DeCamp, his Grandson Joshua Charles Carter his sister-in-law Patty Mayer, and his best friend Ronny Nelson.
Charlie is survived by his wife Terry, son Rob, daughter Cari (Lafayette), daughter Atlantis(Francis), adopted son Donald, adopted daughters Jasamaine, Charmaine, and adopted son Jeremy. Nephews Sam Brose and William (Tasha) Brose, adopted sister Jan and son Sam, Godson Steven (Amy) Woolf, Brother/Cousin Michael (Roxi), Cousins Kathy (Bryan), Grandchildren Weewee (Joel), Pape, Feeling, Small Ernest “Jay”, Danzekiel, De’Manuel, Avi’Yon, Li’Naja, D’Anthony, Michael, Noah, Jada, Amira, Le’Trell, Nevaeh, Lyn’Andrea, Jalyn. Great Grandchildren Moriah, Joel, Mercy, and De’Manuel Jr. Charlie is survived by many other family and friends.
We would like to send a thank you to those friends from Charlies work group, and our church family that truly stood by Charlie and lifted him up, made him smile and laugh and prayed for him. No words can express how thankful we are to you all for everything that you did.
To the Unit at the U of MN 7D there are truly no words to express the gratitude, thanks, love and admiration our family has for each and every one of you that took care of Charlie and our family, Also to the new hospice program we can’t express the love and support we have received from them.
The Celebration of Life Will be held at
St Stephen Lutheran church

On July 9, 2022
10:00-11:00: is the viewing of Charlies life
11:00-12:00 is the Celebration of life
12:00-1:00 is the luncheon for those that want to attend.
Charlie did not want a formal ceremony he wants everyone to be comfortable and enjoy time with each other.
