Obituary of Audrey Stokes

Died on August 22, 2018 at the age of 87. Preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Dr. Robert J Stokes. Survived by son, Neil (Judy) Stokes and granddaughter, Claire; daughter, Sandra (Greg) Johnson and grandson, Blake. Both she and her husband were born in England and came to this country in 1955. Her husband had received a Fulbright Scholarship to carry on his research and teach at the University of California – Berkley while she continued her career as a commercial artist. Eventually they came to Minnesota and stayed. She and her husband loved to travel and at last count had visited 41 countries. Her ashes will be taken back by her family to England. They will be scattered next to her husband’s at a special spot in the Wiltshire countryside. Home at last. At her request, there will be no services.
