Obituary of Norman Densmore

Norman Densmore, age 90, of Friendship Village, Bloomington, passed away on December 30, 2017. Survived by wife of 64 years, Jerri; son, Michael (Michele) of Salt Lake City, UT; daughter, Diana Bartizal of Prior Lake, MN, and granddaughters, Pamela Densmore of Puyallup, WA and Christi Engbloom (Nick) of Minneapolis, MN. Norm was raised in Omaha, NE and graduated from Colorado State University. He was drafted into the Signal Corps. during the Korean campaign. He retired from U S WEST. He served tours with other Bell System locations in New York City, Winston-Salem, NC and San Juan, Puerto Rico. He survived 2 heart attacks and bypass surgery for 40 years by jogging, playing tennis, biking, and hiking Colorado mountain trails to maximize his recovery. Norm loved playing bridge, enjoyed Classical music, and working with computers. Memorial service 2:00 PM Monday, January 8 at Friendship Village of Bloomington, 8100 Highwood Drive. Memorials may be directed to Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina, MN. Private Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
