Obituary of Robert E. Wilcox

Robert "Bob" E. Wilcox, age 79, was born in Duluth December 30, 1938 and passed away on his date of birth in 2017. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married June E. LaRock, the love of his life, in 1958. Bob worked as an operator of the Duluth Ariel Lift Bridge and retired in 2000 after 16 years at the bridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Hazel (Amundson) Wilcox; and his only sister, Audrey L. Danielson. He is survived by his dear, beloved wife, June; four children, Kathy (Tracy) Heier, Roberta (Paul) Gulon; Geri Tagliaferri and Len (Joyce) Wilcox; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Renee Bruneau. Bob's wishes were for a private family service only.
