Obituary of Brian John Rumpza

Brian Rumpza passed away peacefully on June 13, 2022. His kindness, loyalty, and sense of humor will be missed by many. Brian was born to Harlan and Idella Rumpza of Maple Plain on January 15, 1962. Brian lived and worked in Delano most of his adult life. He will be most lovingly missed by his treasured daughters, Rebecca Rumpza and Rachael Nelson (Nate). Being a dad was Brian’s greatest joy in life, which was clear to anyone who saw him engage with his daughters. Much of his life was centered around his girls – camping with them, coaching them in youth sports and spending quality time with them and his family at the lake. He also enjoyed basketball, softball and bowling in his younger years. In addition to his daughters, Brian is survived by siblings Bill (Liz), Jan Weness (Roger), Bob (Gail Morrison), Bruce (Diane) and Mary Poss (Pat McDonald), his loving Aunts Margaret Nelson, Orla Elsen and Patricia Rumpza, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Life for Brian will be held at the Jerome Event Center at 125 Bridge Avenue E., Delano, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Monday June 20th. There will be an opportunity at 6:00 p.m. for any guests who wish to share their fond memories of Brian.
