Obituary of Earl M. Romnes

Age 86 of Bloomington. Born March 11, 1935, in Togo, MN; passed March 6, 2022. An icon of the elevator industry, Earl began his career as a proud member of the IUEC local #9 for 17 years. Transitioning to management, he ascended to the position of North Central Region Manager for Westinghouse Elevator and later to Regional VP for Schindler Elevator. In addition, he was a driving force for the National Elevator Industry Education Program, serving several years as a Trustee.

Preceded in death by siblings Carol and Dawn. Survived by wife Shirley; sons, Ric (Susan), Tom and Mike (Nora); Grandkids, Shannon, Missy, Nick, Joey, Brandon and Charlie; Great Grandkids, Paige, Cole, Nathan, Winnie and Trenton; Great Great Granddaughter Paisley; Brothers, John (Roxie), James (Ginnie); many Nieces, Nephews and friends.

Celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022, starting at 2pm at Cremation Society of MN- Edina chapel.
