Obituary of Robert Allan Phenix

Phenix, Robert Allan "Bob" Inver Grove Heights, formerly Bloomington. Bob was born in Houston, TX on November 24, 1938, to parents Fladger and Lola Phenix. He passed away May 15, 2022 after years of declining health. Bob loved designing and building things: dental offices, sandwiches, or custom home cabinetry, as well as remodeling a home or rebuilding a classic car or truck. Bob was a self-taught designer of dental offices as part of his equipment sales job with Patterson Dental Co. He spent most of his career with Patterson, gradually working his way from Texas to Minnesota via Arizona and Colorado. In 1988 he retired from the dental industry and opened a deli sandwich place in a Minnetonka office park. That was followed by selling custom cabinetry, designing and remodeling kitchens. He was known for having a joke to tell on any occasion, his clever Texas sayings, and his love of classic cars. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Garlon and Milton McShan; son-in-law, David Fowler and special niece, Sherrie Landry. He is survived by his wife, Lynnette; children, Kelley Fowler, Melissa (Arvid) Thill, Robert Fladger (Amanda) Phenix and Bailee (Cliff) Kaehler; dear sister, Joyce (Rick) Blackmon; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends. Funeral services to be held Friday, May 20th at 11 a.m., Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 13801 Fairview Drive, Burnsville, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice or the Animal Humane Society of MN.
