Obituary of Sandra Jo Wakefield

Age 60, of Edina passed on peacefully at home on May 11, 2022 surrounded by her children and husband. Sandra was born on January 9, 1962, in the winter (as she would always say) to Ken and Barb Lantto.  She was born and raised in Edina, Minnesota, and attended the University of Minnesota. Sandra married Todd Wakefield and raised three wonderful children, Sophie (Michael), Parker, and Kenny.  She worked in the restaurant business, banking, had a TV show, real estate, and a variety of other sales jobs. She mostly loved cooking, being a great mom, and entertaining her friends and family. No one could quite entertain guests like Sandra could, whether it be at her house, your house, or at her kids hockey games. 

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Barb. She is survived by her husband, Todd; children, Sophie (Michael), Parker, Kenny and her dog, Bentley; father, Ken; siblings, Lynda, Gwen, Kathryn, Tom; nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. 

Sandra will always be remembered for her energy, smile and love that she gave to everyone she met.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday May 27th At Christ Presbyterian Church, 6901 Normandale Rd, Edina at 12pm with visitation at 11am. Celebration of Life to follow immediately after at the Edina Country Club.
