Obituary of My Thi Nguyen Do

MY THI NGUYEN DO 20 November, 1944 to 06 January, 2018 My Thi Nguyen died on 6 January, 2018 at Hennepin County Medical Center, after suffering a head trauma/injury. My was born on 20 November, 1944 in Saigon, Viet Nam. In 1968, Bao Dinh Do and she were married. She is survived by her husband, Bao; daughter, Linh Do (Scott Ulven) of Minneapolis, MN; sons, Le Do of Fort Collins, CO and Loc Do of Denver, CO; a sister who lives in Viet Nam as well several nieces and nephews. In 1979, My and her family came to the U.S. with the help of Lutheran Social Services and Pontoppidan Church in Fargo, ND. She worked for many years at Bethany Homes in food service and as an interpreter for the hospitals and school districts in Fargo. She also volunteered for the Lutheran Social Services. After she retired from Bethany Homes, she and her husband moved to St Anthony, MN. My enjoyed cooking, tending to her plants, dressing up and going out with friends, and traveling. She was able to make several trips back to Viet Nam, traveled to Europe, visited family and friends in California, and went to Yellowstone with friends while in retirement. Her happiest moments were spending time with her children, other family members, and friends. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, 13 January, 2018 at Cremation Society, 7835 Brooklyn Boulevard, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
