Obituary of Dorothy A. Frones

Dorothy A. (Kendzora) Frones, age 95, lifelong resident of the Duluth area passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018. She was born January 5, 1923 in Duluth to Joseph and Sally Kendzora. Dorothy was a graduate of Proctor High School and on July 6, 1946 she married Raymond H. Frones. Dorothy worked at several banks in Duluth as a teller and waitressed at the Jolly Fisher and the Hotel Duluth Ballroom. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers and a sister. Dorothy is survived by her children, Dale (Sally) Frones of Carlton and Barbara Cavanaugh of Melrude; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Joann Pasek; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorials are preferred to The Military Order of the Purple Heart, 15 Riverside Drive, Duluth, MN 55808. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
