Obituary of Kenneth Leroy Fremling

Kenneth Leroy Fremling, age 83, of Saginaw, passed away Sunday, January 7th 2018 at Ecumen Lakeshore. He was born in a farmhouse in Plummer, MN on June 3, 1934 to Rubin and Lydia Fremling. Kenneth married Diane Purtilo on June 5, 1954. He was a Korean War Veteran and retired from the DM&IR Railroad. Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Dennis, Bud and Melvin. He is survived by his wife Diane; sons Wade (Barb) Fremling and Jason (Pat) Fremling; grandsons, Jeremy(Abbey) Fremling , Steven (Jennie) Fremling; granddaughter Stephanie Fremling; great granddaughters, Siaya and Aeris; sisters, Christine Westley and Ruby (William) Harrington; brothers Ted Fremling and Gene (Sharon) Fremling. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the cardiac ward at St. Luke's and the staff at Ecumen Lakeshore. Memorial services will be held Thursday, January 11th at 3 pm at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN with a visitation one hour prior.
