Obituary of Paul J Muhvic

Paul Joseph Muhvic, 74, passed away April 11, 2022 with family members by his side.

He was born December 25, 1947 in Duluth. He is preceded in death by his father Jacob Edward Muhvic; his infant son, Thomas Joseph Muhvic; brother Thomas Muhvic; sister Mary Muhvic-Reeves; and sister-in-law Helen Muhvic.

Paul retired from the City of Duluth Water and Gas after 32 years. He and his wife Lois owned and operated the Midway Bar for 25 years. Paul was an avid pool player, leading his bar team to many city championships in addition some national tournaments. Up until 2020, he took great pleasure in walking their precious family dog, “Reissie”, becoming the ambassador of Otsego St., greeting every dog and neighbor on their route.

Survivors include wife Lois; daughter Nicole; son Michael; brother Jake (Geri) Muhvic; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life is planned for 3:00 pm Friday, April 15th at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave. in Duluth.
