Obituary of Debra Marie Nicholls

Age 66 - of Duluth MN, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away March 30, 2022, suddenly but peacefully. Debbie was born January 16, 1956 to George and Dolores Suwanski, nee Ratkowski. Debbie married the love of her life Paul Nicholls Jr in 1998. Debbie worked in the Food Service industry for the Board of Education in Chicago. She loved that job.  Debbie moved to Duluth MN in 2009. She found her calling in Duluth where she worked at Essentia Health at the Information Desk. She loved talking to people and getting them where they needed to go. Debbie was a great cook and spoiled everyone with the delicious creations she could just whip up. She touched lives where ever she went and will be missed by many.

Debbie is preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Nicholls Jr, her father George Suwanski, mother Dolores Ratkowski, and her beloved puppy Arlo Spot.

Debbie is survived by her sisters Deni Lorenzi, Dina Suwanski and Darla Suwanski, Cousin Kathy (Pete) Samoska, Aunt Bev (Rich) Tracy and special friend Kathy Gerhardt She is also survived by her four children, Tracy Dorian, David and Michelle, 12 grandchildren, seven nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews. Also, many cousins and friends.

Debbie will be laid to rest at St Adalberts Cemetery, 6800 N Milwaukee Ave,  Niles IL on April 23, 2022. Services will start at Noon with a luncheon to follow.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in Duluth MN on June 18, 2022 at Enger Park. Details will be updated closer to date.
