Obituary of Elizabeth "Bette" Jepma Christopherson
Elizabeth "Bette" Jepma Christopherson (89)
Born February 6th, 1933 – April 4th, 2022
Parents Garret and Rena Jepma of Hancock, MN. Bette was preceded in death by her parents; 11 siblings Lucy, Rena, Bennie, Samuel, Marguerite, Joseph, Tillie, Donald, Marie, Robert & Helen; her husband Roger Christopherson and baby daughter Brenda Ray.
Bette was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and friend to many. Bette had many jobs before retirement, they include telephone operator, factory supervisor, realtor, business owner and travel agent.
Bette lived a long and full life. She was married to Roger Christopherson for over 60 years. They started their marriage and raising a family together in Glenwood Minnesota.
They were blessed with 8 Grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bette enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing cribbage, going on cruises, bingo, casino trips and spending time with the grand and great-grand kids, who she called her little people. She loved her little people! Mom and Dad went on over 20 cruises during their time together. They caught hundreds of stringers of fish and always had a wonderful garden. Mom didn’t claim to be a good cook, even though she was. She showed her love to those around her with her baking. She made the most incredible cakes, pies, desserts and caramel rolls. She always brought dessert to our many family gatherings over the years.
Mom was a big Minnesota Twins baseball fan. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play baseball and soccer.
Mom and Dad spent many winters in warmer climates, Florida, Alabama and Arizona. They often wintered with her sister Helen and her husband Jerry in those warm places. They had very fond memories of trips and winters with the Goulet’s.
Survived by Daughter’s Jean (Steve) Butler, Helen Roettger, Kim Morrison; 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:3-4 NLT
