Janee Wells

Obituary of Janee E. Wells

Janeé Wells, beloved wife, mom, and friend, fearlessly and peacefully went to be with her Lord Jesus on Monday, 3/21/22 after a 14-month battle with cancer. She was and is completely secure in the love, joy, and presence of God since giving her life to the Lord in college.

Janeé was well-known in the Twin Cities as a church staffer and Christian leader, serving for 13 years as Adult Education Associate at Hosanna Church in Lakeville and 10 years in international student ministries near the U. of Minnesota. As a self-described “missions sparkplug,” Janeé led or co-led 14 short-term missions teams to Mexico, Jamaica, Guatemala, Malaysia, and China. Her personal motto was “blessed to be a blessing,” a quality that she exemplified to all who knew her.

Janeé, with her passion for the unreached, superb administrative skills, and infectious laugh will be missed, quite literally, by people all around the globe.

She is survived by Steve, her husband of 42 years, and sons, Bryan, 38 and Kevin, 35 Wells. She is also survived by her brother Darrell Hein of Schertz, Texas and sister, Diane Baye of Reardan, Washington. She was preceded to heaven by her parents Jim and Doris Hein and older brother Doug of Reardan, Washington.

Her Celebration of Life service will take place on April 21, 2022 in the Chapel at Hosanna Church, 8600 163rd, Lakeville, MN 55044. Visitation at 10 a.m., service at 11 a.m., and lunch at Noon. The service will be live-streamed at https://youtu.be/jjixddqhYEU.

Her joyful confidence in the face of death demonstrates that “...God so loves you that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
