Erven was born on October 6, 1939 to Velda and Otar Bodahl in Crookston MN. He grew up with 5 siblings in the old farm house and this continued his love for nature and the country. He was working for the telephone company when he met Phyllis in Kensington MN, on August 15th, 1956. This began a long loving, and happy life together. Erven worked for Federal Stamping. He helped raise four children and later opened his own business FOUR STAR STAMPING. He was involved with Richfield Lions Club as well a supporter of the American Legion and VFW. He loved momma’s cooking, a passion for country music, every Saturday Lawrence Welk, all sports, grilling, boating, hunting, bird watching and being with mamma. They were inseparable and together they most enjoyed the adventures of camping, vacationing and visiting with family and friends.  May dad continue to be happy in heaven loving the simple life together with loved ones, as now we miss him every day since he’s passed.

Phyllis Marie Bodahl, age 81, of Richfield born April 15th 1939, went to be with the Lord on March 15th, 2020.  Phyllis was a loving and dedicated wife, mother of four children, grandmother and great-grandmother, who is extremely missed by all. She married Erven on August 15th, 1956.  Momma was a devoted Christian who believed in the Lord, she made sure us kids were raised in the church as her faith helped her through life and the death of her first daughter Pattie.  Momma was a happy homemaker, Sunday school teacher and playground aide. She was a seamstress, campfire den mother, cared for children, and sang with the Richfield Singers. She volunteered feeding the hungry, was involved with the Richfield Lioness Club, and a great party hostess. She worked for Burger King for 35 years. Along with a loving marriage of 64 years to Erven, raising kids, and making a home filled with happy memories, she loved vacations, adventures, boating, camping, bird watching, gardening, baking, cooking, love of music, dancing, and going to plays. But best of all her passion was to visit with family and friends.  She’s remembered for her love and kindness, positivity and strong willed soul and always her welcoming hugs.  She’s preceded in death by her husband Erven D. MOM AND DAD WERE FRIENDLY TO ALL, THEY LOVED ALL, SAID IT OFTEN AND SHOWED IT ALWAYS, THEY LIVED AND LAUGHED AND LOVED AND LEFT AND OUR WORLD WILL NEVER BE THE SAME, SO LET THE SUN SET SO A NEW ONE WILL RISE AND ALWAYS REMEMBER OUR TIME…
