Obituary of MaryAnn Barbara Miller

Our family is deeply saddened to announce that MaryAnn Barbara Miller, née Kavensky, passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer on the evening of April 1, 2022 at home in Ramsey, Minnesota surrounded by close family members. She was 77.

MaryAnn grew up in Columbia Heights and Southeast Minneapolis. For 38 years, she was the face of Park Tavern in St. Louis Park. She worked in the hospitality industry for over 50 years and also owned her own restaurant. She had an abiding grace, and she was always unfailingly stylish and impeccably dressed; until her death people continued to comment on her beauty and elegance. She also had an attitude to match her outward appearance. Staff and customers at Park Tavern gave her the nickname PT Diva, a moniker that gave her endless delight. Although she was a truly private person, everyone who encountered her loved her. She made life as fun and enjoyable as possible through a wonderfully dry wit and a robust sense of humor. She was very generous and consistently supported Police, Fire and the Armed Services. Around the time of her death, family members discovered donations she had made to a wide variety of nonprofits and charities, none of which she had spoken or boasted about, which her children felt to be the mark of humility and true spirituality. Upon her death, countless people remarked on her beautiful smile, wonderful sense of humor, laugh, and loving heart.

She is survived by her sister Arlene, sons Robert and Edward Miller, their wives Kim and Eliza, and grandchildren Brandon (Ashley), Ashlee (Hamza), Cody (Zoie), and Jack. A Celebration of Life will be held in MaryAnn’s honor on June 11th; more details will follow on Facebook.
