Obituary of Marie M. Miller

Marie M. Miller passed away peacefully on March 27, 2022, at the age of 90. Marie was born in Saint Anthony North Dakota on July 19, 1931. Marie was the daughter of Paul and Elizabeth Miller. She grew up with eight siblings on the family farm near Saint Anthony, ND.

Marie was a strong, independent woman with a kind heart and a lively spirit. Marie moved to Minneapolis, MN in the 1960’s. She was a hard worker who spent many years working at a Minneapolis Super Value store where she took a true interest in her costumers.

Marie enjoyed cooking, especially pies, salads, and Christmas cookies. She liked spending time with her family and friends, playing cards and bingo, traveling, and dining out. Marie’s favorite activity was old time dancing.

Following her retirement from Super Value, Marie moved to Richfield MN. Her friendly, accepting manner enabled her to make friends everywhere she lived. Marie had a wonderful sense of humor and often had a joke to tell or a quick-witted comment.

Marie was a lifelong Catholic. She faithfully attended church at Saint Albert the Great in Minneapolis and Saint Peter’s in Richfield.

Marie was a wonderful friend, a cherished aunt and great aunt and a much-loved sister.

Marie is preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth (Haider) and Paul Miller; her brothers Joe Schlinger, Andrew Schlinger, Carl Miller, and Anton Miller as well as her sisters Frona Miller and Julia Miller. Marie is survived by her sister Josie Fischer, her brother John (Lorraine) Miller, her sister-in-law Margie Miller and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held at Guardian Angels Catholic Church
