Obituary of Mary Kahler

Mary Dunnigan Kahler, age 92, passed away in the early hours on Monday, March 28, 2022.

Mary was born in Minneapolis MN on July 16, 1929. A graduate of Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota. She married John H. Kahler III on December 26th, 1951. Mary loved walking, playing tennis and catching all the sales at Dayton’s and Herberger’s.

Mary is survived by her sons Patrick (Cara) of Lakeville, MN, Michael (Lori) of Burnsville, MN, Betsy (puppy Rosie) of Eden Prairie, MN, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her husband John, her brother John, in laws Libby and Irv Pagels.

A private memorial service for Mary will be held for family and residents of Founders Ridge at Founder’s Ridge Senior Living Facility in Bloomington, MN on Monday, April 4th at 11:00 am with lunch following. A public ceremony at Fort Snelling National Cemetery will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum or PetSmart Charities.
