Wallace ‘Wally’ Bergstrom

Wally Bergstrom, age 89, of Eagan, passed away and reunited with the love of his life, Gloria, on January 22, 2022.

Wally was born on February 9, 1932 in Minneapolis.  Upon graduating from Robbinsdale Cooper High School, he joined the Army.  After leaving the Army, he married Gloria, and a few years later moved his family to Farmington, New Mexico in 1963.  There he worked for El Paso Natural Gas/Burlington Northern until he retired in 1987 and then he and Gloria moved back to Minnesota. Their storybook romance lasted over 56 years before Gloria’s death in 2012.

He is survived by his daughters: Launa (Dick) Plath and Lori (Jim) Wicklund, son Mark (Sunny),  10 grandchildren: Justine, Patrick, Maria, Dacia, Darci, Danaia, Jimmy, Lindsi, Lacey and Chad, many great –grandchildren, relatives and good  friends.

Wally had a great passion for his family.  He loved spending time with them, especially all the grandkids and grandbabies.  He will be deeply missed by so many.

A celebration of Wally’s life will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 in Ramsey, MN.  More details to come at a later date.
