I am so sorry to hear of Alice’s death. Alice and I met in May, 2004 when she became a Senior Companion volunteer who helped the people she served keep active, healthy, and living independently. Later Alice became a Foster Grandparent volunteer at Bailey Elementary School where she started kindergartners on the road to success by helping them learn to read and write. She was known as Grandma Alice to the kids and staff at Bailey where she served until 2016. Alice made a difference in the lives of her Senior Companion clients and the hundreds of kids she worked with at Bailey. Thank you, Grandma Alice!
