Obituary of Jacqueline Ann Olson

Jacqueline Ann “Jackie” Olson, passed away on January 19, 2022 at Fairview Southdale Hospital at the age of 94 years. Jackie was a longtime resident of Bloomington, Minnesota and later Eden Prairie. Born in Ironton, Minnesota on July 25, 1927, she was the loving daughter of Anna and Jack Chopp. One of Jackie’s first jobs in Minneapolis was at Sears. She later was employed at the Hennepin County Government Center, where she worked for several years until her retirement. Jackie was a strong independent woman that loved her entire family. Especially her grandchildren; she was their biggest cheerleader. Jackie was a very generous person who loved buying gifts for others and was a huge Minnesota Twins fan. She was a family storyteller and a fabulous listener. Jackie was also artistic with a strong sense of fashion and decor (a fashionista!!). She will be remembered with love. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers George and Fred, Sister Babe and grandson Mason. She is survived by daughter, Desiree (Tom) of Eden Prairie, grandson’s Brett, Grady, Cole and Gabriel, her sister Angie (Bill) and many nieces and nephews. Visitation and service to be held on May 12, 2022 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, Edina, Minnesota. Details to come.
