Dearest Roland: I Thank you for letting me walk with you and hold your hands until the end of your earthly life. It has been the greatest honor in my life.
I would not be the person I am now without you- without all the years of learning and expanding through Love, spiritual journey of seeking & finding, meaningful dialogue, truth-telling, challenging each other to grow deeper, building each other up even it it means, ironically, breaking each other down at times, our pursuit of Divine ecstasy of self-realization, immersion with different cultures, adventure, and as partner in transforming individuals, teams and organizations across the globe.
You were a remarkable soul who touched so many lives around the world. I am amazed of the many persons and organizations who witnessed your transformational work. I love how someone described you as “a source of bright light and a beautiful spark of love and enthusiasm”. You have lived an intentional-good-life. Your passion and zest for being a catalyst of change was unstoppable. And while you’re no longer with us physically, your spirit will continue to fill the hearts of so many people.
You’re my infinite Love. If there’s one person who brought out the best in me in its truest sense, it’s you. By loving you, you taught me to love unconditionally. Indeed, you created a tough, resilient, courageous and loving woman in me more than I could imagine as I performed the role as your wife-caregiver. I’ve learned some of the best life lessons in the most challenging times as I accompany you in your end-of-life. I am stronger more than I know. You transformed me for good, forever. Thank you for everything. I will always hold your memory in my heart.I love you into eternity my soulmate. And I am certain that you will always be with me, infinitely. I would say Rest in Peace but knowing you, you’ll find that mundane; so I say - dance in ecstasy in the realm of eternal bliss, love and happiness!!!
On early morning of December 25th, Roland said to me: "Pls do not leave my side now because I am going to go tonight." And just as he said, he breath his last at 12AM CST on December 26th. If you feel invited please do say a prayer for the eternal repose of his soul and for me and Arielle and for his family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Roland being Roland wanted to be the one to announce of his passing. We shoot this video in December 2019 after he was discharge from hospice. He actually wanted to create a video of him dancing to show that death is ought to be celebrated! He shared about this idea of him dancing even when we just became a couple. You won’t see him dancing in this video because he was too weak to do a good dance anymore after his hospice in 2019. But you’ll feel his high energy and his certitude of a magical transformation, which just took place.
He would often tell me that when he crosses over, that I should not cry and grieve. I should celebrate. I do have a deeper knowing that death is as sacred as birth. My mom showed me how sacred and holy her dying process was and that I knew with certainty that she was in a pure-bliss-heavenly dimension. So yes, I am singing Alleluia for Roland’s beginning of a new life! But I will surely mourn for the loss of his physical presence. I miss him so much already.
