Doris Adelle Nichols

October 31, 1947 – December 3, 2021

Doris Nichols, the daughter of Leo and Leona Deering, was born October 31, 1947, in Bertha, MN and completed her life’s journey December 3, 2021, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, MN. Doris graduated with the Class of 1965 from Staples High School, Staples MN; was united in Marriage to Robert Nichols July 16, 1966.

After 33 years of employment with Qwest, retired in 2006 allowing time to be one of the world’s best grandmas and pursue her love of travel. In addition to exploring most states, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the beauty of northern Japan, and Australia’s Great Barrier Reef were among her favorite international destinations. Lasting memories of Doris center around her dinning table with community coffee and fresh baked cookies shared with family and friends.

Doris is survived by her sons, Todd Nichols, Santa Fe NM; Jason (Diana) Nichols, St. Michael MN; the four loves of her life grandchildren Brady, Logan, Wyatt, and Hallie Nichols; siblings Marilyn Wagner, Plymouth MN; Betty (Gary) Koch, Mount Dora FL; Gary (Wanda) Deering; Maple Grove MN; Sharon Deering, Bothel WA; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by parents and former husband.
