Obituary of Gary Remick

Gary Remick of Golden Valley, Age 47, passed away from cancer on November 14, 2021, with his brothers by his bedside. Gary is preceded in death by Grandparents Tom and Rosie Remick, Grandparents Woody and Wilda Woodward, and partner Bob Shaw. Gary was born July 13, 1974, in Hawaii and traveled to the mainland to pursue a career as a biomedical engineer. Gary started his B.S. at the University of Iowa and completed his graduate education at Johns Hopkins in M.S. Biomedical Engineering. His passion and training started an 18-year career within medical device research and quality control at Abbott Laboratories. Gary enjoyed life and friendship with his time tending to gardening, cooking, playing bridge, and spoiling his dog Toby. He is survived by his parents Lance and Sandy Remick, brother Tom and wife Missy, children Meranda, Miriah Remick, brother David and wife Stephanie, children Oksana and Daniel Remick. Celebration of Life will be held at Lakewood Cemetery at Community Memorial Mausoleum on Friday, November 26, 2021, at 3:00 pm, with his ashes placed in a Niche wall. Gary’s family plans to continue with his wishes to spread part of his ashes in the Pacific Ocean beside the Mokulua Islands in Kailua, Hawaii.
