Obituary of Barbara Jeanne Booth
Barbara Jeanne Booth passed away on November 10, 2021 at age 88, survived by Donald Booth, husband of 70 years, sons Joel (Julie), Scott (Ann), Steven (Sherri) and daughter Catherine Rocklitz (Gary), ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and brother James Paulson.
Barbara was born on November 2, 1933 in Minneapolis. She was the daughter of Stewart and Myrtle Paulson. She lived in Richfield, Bloomington, Shakopee and Eagan.
She graduated from Roosevelt High School and owned and operated Dakota Blacktopping with her husband for 60 years. Barbara was a lifelong volunteer at her church, her children’s schools, and taught adults to read through the Right to Read Program. She was kind and compassionate.
She loved caring for and spending time with family and friends and had many friendships that began in kindergarten. She loved to read, play piano, travel, fish, and sail. She loved her dogs, horses, cats and chickens and spending time on their hobby farm in Shakopee and family cabins and trips.
Private service and burial at Fort Snelling. Memorials preferred to Episcopal Church of Nativity, Burnsville, Minnesota.
