Obituary of Joleen Ann Perkins
Joleen Ann (Magsam) Perkins, age 61, passed away at her home on November 7th, 2021.
Joleen was born August 8, 1960 in Crookston MN. She is the daughter of Paul and Emma Magsam, and one of 8 siblings, growing up on a farm near Euclid, MN. She married Dana Perkins in the fall of 2000, and they have lived in Golden Valley, MN. for the past 25 years.
Joleen graduated from NDSU and worked as a Plant Pathologist for Northrup King and Phyton 27. In 2007 she shifted careers by earning a Clinical Research Professional certificate. During her tenure at Medtronic she worked as a Clinical Study Manager on the TAVR heart valve program, traveling to major medical centers throughout the US to oversee the clinical trials. Her leadership, expertise and dedication helped bring the life-saving therapy to many people around the world. She received numerous awards including 3 Global Excellence Awards and 3 Star of Excellence awards.
Joleen enjoyed hiking, biking, geocaching, exploring new destinations by motorcycle with her husband Dana; and camping with her family at their annual Christmas in August reunion. She loved music and theater, especially Broadway musicals and could sing the full lyrics from her favorite musicals. Joleen was loved deeply by her family. Her warm smile and caring ways will be missed.
She is survived by her loving husband Dana; brothers and sisters Ken (Lana) Magsam, Loren (Kathryn) Magsam, Glenna (Mike) Hughes, Keith (Randi) Magsam, Una (Jeff) Johnson, Joy (Randy) Torvinen, and Don (Ann) Magsam; and as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Emma, sister Lois Marie Magsam, and nephew Matthew Magsam.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life service in memory of Joleen on Monday December 13th, at 11 AM, Visitation 1 hour prior; at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Ave S, Edina, MN 55435.

Interment will be held at a later date, in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines IA.
