Obituary of Dale Francis Wiskerchen

Dale Francis Wiskerchen, 89, of Duluth, MN passed peacefully on October 22, 2021 with his niece Pamela and best friend Glen by his side. Dale was born December 12, 1931 in Superior, WI to Otto and Genevieve Wiskerchen.

He graduated from Superior East High School and later from military drafting trade school. He honorably served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany and Japan, from 1950-1960. He retired from Twin Disc in Racine, WI in 1995.  In addition to  his  exceptional mechanical skills he was a talented portrait artist. Family was everything to Dale. He will be deeply missed. 

He is survived by his son, Shawn (Melissa) Wiskerchen; stepdaughter, Sheila Toya; grandchildren, Shawn Jr., Desteney, Mikayla, and Anthony; great-grandchildren, Kalum & Kashtyn; siblings, Joyce Norton, Patricia Nilsen, Dennis Wiskerchen, Diana Wiskerchen, Linda (Peter) DeGraef, many nieces and nephews, and his loved dog Spunky.  

Dale is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pat Wiskerchen; brother, Donald Wiskerchen; sister, Gloria Hammerstrom; brother-in-laws Roland Hammerstrom,  Leroy Norton, and Daniel Nilsen.

Visitation will be at 9:00 until the 10 a.m. service Friday, Nov. 5th at Our Saviors Lutheran Church, 4831 Grand Ave., Duluth. Military honors at 12:00 pm at the Veterans Cemetery, Saginaw. Pastor Liz Davis officiating. Face masks are required.
