Obituary of Christine Ann Voltzke
Christine Ann Voltzke 51, of Duluth, passed away on Friday October 22, 2021, after a second courageous battle with breast cancer.
Chris was born on September 2, 1970, to James and Darlene Farwell in Duluth, MN. Chris graduated from Central High School in 1989 and earned an associate’s degree from the Duluth Technical College in 1994. She worked the majority of her life as the office manager at Pinewood Duluth. She also worked in administrative positions in healthcare after leaving Pinewood.
Chris loved spending time with her family and friends more than anything, especially her grandchildren, Oliver and Ilee. She also enjoyed fishing, going to concerts, Minnesota Twins and Wild games. Chris was part of a special group of friends; the 4th Street Gang.
The family would like to thank Dr. Basem Goueli, Williamsville New York, St. Luke’s Regional Cancer Center, Dr. Anne Silva-Benedict, Dr. Swapna Devanna, the 2nd West hospice wing, and Dr. Kristina Anderson for caring for her so well.
Chris was preceded in death by her father, James, and grandmothers, Emma and Delpha.
She is survived by her mother, Darlene (Step-Father Ernest) Rein; brother James Farwell; husband, Rich; sons, Derek Reimer, Daniel (Becca) Reimer, Kyle (Tonya) Voltzke , Colton Voltzke; grandchildren, Oliver and Ilee; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, on November 5th, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm. Masks are required.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to the American Cancer Society.
