Obituary of Karen Marie (Jensen) Sanford

Karen Marie (Jensen) Sanford, 57 of Solon Springs, WI passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth after a brief illness.

She was born in Webster, WI on August 10, 1964 to Donald and Laura Jensen. Karen graduated from Webster High School in 1982. On June 22, 1987 she married Charles W. Sanford.

Karen, along with Charlie, owned and operated the White Birch Supper Club from 2000 to 2010 where they established a reputation for quality, delicious supper club fare. Throughout the years, they made many friends and cemented themselves into the Solon Springs and surrounding community. Karen also worked as assistant manager at Dollar General from 2010 to 2021.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Charlie of Solon Springs; daughter Nicole Sanford and partner Bruce McLeod Jr.; son Steven (Katelyn) Sanford; sister Darlene (Greg) Treague, Danbury, WI, brother, Robert Jensen, Danbury, WI; as well as granddaughters Lola and Hannah.

Celebration of Life Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 11405 S. 1st St. W. in Solon Springs with visitation at the church from 10:00-11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow at the Village Pump in Solon Springs.
