Jerry was my best friend. For 37 years he was family to me here in Minneapolis. He opened doors and helped to guide my life, dreams and vocation. As I thought about experiences with dear Jerry I discovered that in every aspect of my Minneapolis life Jerry played a role. Jerry, Bill Staines and I called ourselves the 3 Musketeers. So many memorable experiences, people met, captured in music and the moments. We laughed together so hard we would cry and cried together so hard we would laugh. All the up’s and down’s of our lives. We had special energy and bond. I loved Jerry and enjoyed meeting his family. I thank him for blessing my life. I miss him dearly, but am thankful he is in no more pain and flying happily reunited with those he loved. I can see all of our West Bank musicians who went before welcoming him and one big jam filled with laughter & joy. Peace and Blessings to all who loved Jerry. Many of us here in Minneapolis. - Jana
