Obituary of Willard L Daluge
Age 94, of Eden Prairie, passed away October 3, 2021 at St. Cloud Hospital.
Willard was born June 6, 1927 near Truman, Minn. to Edwin and Lydia Brummund Daluge.
While serving in Germany during post World War II, he met and married the love of his life, Agnes Lackovic. They were married June 15, 1948. The early story of Agnes and Willard is immortalized in the book “Rosa’s Miracle Mouse”. Willard was an active volunteer and Past Commander of the Everett McClay VFW post in Bloomington, and active in other organizations. He enjoyed traveling and dancing with Agnes, fishing at the family property on Sauk Lake, and visits from his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Willard is survived by his daughter, Margaret (Walter) Plank; daughter-in-law, Paula Daluge; grandchildren, Gregory (Nicole) Plank, Susanne Plank, April (Chad) Seim, Jonathan (Ariel) Daluge, and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes and son, Wendell. Willard will be remembered for his sense of humor and devotion to family.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 29, at 11:00am, at Prairie Lutheran Church, 11000 Blossom Rd., Eden Prairie, with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Fort Snelling at 2:00pm.
