Obituary of Dorothy A. Tungland

Dorothy A. Tungland, 88, of Monticello, MN, passed away peacefully on Monday October 11, 2021.

She was born in Devils Lake ND to the late John and Francis Parkos and attended Central High School.

In October 1952 she married the late James C. Tungland also of Devils Lake where they resided for many years. In the late 1990’s, Dorothy moved to Monticello, MN where she lived out her remaining years.

Dorothy is survived by 5 children: Barry Tungland of Ohio; Jackie (Mark) Bosch of Shakopee, MN; Bryan Tungland of Otsego, MN; Mark Tungland of Papillion, NE; and Lee Tungland of Rice, MN. Dorothy is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband in 1980.

A private graveside ceremony will be determined at a later date and the family requests that no gifts, flowers, or donations be sent.
