Obituary of Amy J. Erickson (Amys)

Amy J. Erickson, 53, died Monday, July 26th, 2021 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. 

She was born on August 29th, 1967 in Superior, to Neda Peterson (Hill) and Gerald Amys. 

She graduated from Northwestern High School and also attended WITC-Superior. She worked at Northwestern Elementary school as a Paraeducator.

She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family, camping, cooking, traveling, being outside, and spending time with her grandkids. 

Amy was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Neda (Bill) Peterson, and her sister Dawn Erickson (Amys). 

She is survived by her husband Merrill Erickson, daughters Charlie (Chad Leanna), Zana (Justin) Rantala, and MaKayla Erickson, grandchildren Annabelle, Dawson, Emalia, Kirsi, and Baby Rantala, siblings Jerry (Lori), Aaron (Diane), Cheryl (Rick) Anderson, Leanne (Jim) Glaeser, father and stepmother Gerald (Shelly) Amys, and many nieces and nephews. 

Celebration of life will be from 12:00-4:00pm on August 7th, 2021 at the Bong Farm, 5551 S Bong Drive, Poplar, WI 54864. In lieu of sending service flowers, please plant a flower in her memory.
