Obituary of Carolyn Jean Harpster

Carolyn Harpster, “Sweet Caroline” , age 81, passed away suddenly Aug 29 in her home.

Preceded in death by her husband Gary Harpster, her grandson Andrew, and her parents Ann and Richard Dira.. Survived by her daughters Kristin, Stefanie, and son-in-law, Daniel.

Born in Pittsburgh P.A, she studied acting and nursing, and became an operating room nurse. Not long after graduating from college, she fell in love with her husband, Gary, and moved to New Jersey before settling in Minnetonka, MN. She performed in countless stage productions, including Alice In Wonderland, where she won best actress of New Jersey for her role as “The White Rabbit’.

She also had a wonderful career of working in the jewelry business, before “retiring” to Lunds in Uptown Minneapolis for 13 years creating food demonstrations. Carolyn’s customers were more like family, and she was deeply loved. We are heartbroken over the loss of our dear mother, and do not have the strength to hold a service at this time.
