Obituary of Gust Johnson

Gust Johnson, 92, passed to his new home Thursday Sept. 30, 2021. 

Gust, a native Duluthian and Denfeld High School graduate, was a Korean War Veteran, an outdoorsman, and a building tradesman. 

Gust loved his family.  He and his wife Donna spent many happy years together sharing a constant love and loyalty. They gave to their family and community. They raised a daughter, Julie, who married Allen.  Gust and Donna felt truly blessed with grandchildren Melissa and Jacob.  They enjoyed sharing meals, shopping, and golfing and fishing adventures.

Gust was preceded in death by his parents Gustave and Clara; sister, Irene Lambert and brother, Kjell, and wife, Donna. 

He is survived by daughter, Julie Johnson and son in law Allen Johnson; granddaughter, Melissa (Jeremy) Fox; grandson, Jacob Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.  

He will be sadly missed by friends and family.
