Obituary of Herbert G. Callies

Herbert G. Callies, 81 of Duluth, passed away September 2nd, 2021 at Christ Jensen. He was born January 29th, 1940 in Duluth to Herbert and Barbara Callies.

Herbert graduated from Denfeld in 1958 and UWS Served in Army. He retired from UMD in 2006 and was a lifelong Twins and Packer fan.

Herb was preceded in death by his parents; step-father Warren Young; brother Melvin; and brother-in-law Robert Wicklund . His survivors include siblings Barbara Wicklund and Steven (Lauren) Young; sister-in-law Judy Callies and many nieces, nephews, and cousin’s.

Memorial service will be held on Monday, September 13th. Visitation at 2:00 with a 3:00 service at the Cremation Society, 4100 Grand Ave.
