Obituary of George Albert Dahlberg
George Albert Dahlberg, 88, Port Ludlow, WA, formerly of Duluth, MN, passed away on September 1, 2021 at Bayshore Residence in Duluth, MN. He was born at home, in Duluth, Minnesota to Axel and Elvira Dahlberg on February 24, 1933.
He attended Duluth Central High School, Class of 1951 and served in the Minnesota National Guard from 1949-1953. He joined the Army in 1953, where he worked as an Artillery Mechanic and Radar Repair Mechanic and Operator. He was stationed at Fort Belvoir, Virginia with the 71st Antiaircraft Artillery Missile Battalion and helped construct their Radar Facility Building in 1954. His Honorable Discharge as a Sergeant was June 14, 1956.
After his service, he then attended the University of MN, Duluth, Class of 1959, graduating with a BA in Mathematics. George spent his career with the Boeing Company, in Seattle, WA, in the Aero Space Division as a Computer Program Analyst and Engineer, where he retired at age 55, in 1988. After retirement he built his home in Port Ludlow, WA, overlooking Hood Canal. He then pursued his love of fishing for the next 30 years, fishing off the coast of Washington state-Neah Bay being a salmon fishing favorite. He also had great fishing trips to Saganaga Lake (Canada) with his brothers-in-law Charlie and Dick and great friend Ed.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Axel and Elvira Dahlberg and sister Ruth Lax .
George enjoyed his life as a bachelor and is survived by his sister Dolores Lufholm; nephews David (Keira Youngblom) Lax, Robert (Brenda) Lufholm, James (Patti) Lufholm, Brian (Diana) Lax; nieces Raeanne (Eldon) Abrahamsen, Kathryn (Brian) Sodahl, Lisa Tepsa and many great nephews and nieces.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for George Dahlberg at a later date.
